UzCE and Bank of Georgia: take steps towards mutually beneficial cooperation.

Rashid Usmanov, the General Director of the Uzbek Republican Currency Exchange (UzCE), met with representatives of the Bank of Georgia (Georgia) to discuss the prospects for cooperation between the financial institutions.

The meeting focused on the procedures for Bank of Georgia becoming a dealer at UzCE and opening an account for foreign nominee holders in UzCE's depository system.

A foreign nominee holder refers to a foreign organization that doesn't own securities but acts on behalf of others, having the right to register and transfer securities.

In the course of negotiations, the head of the UzCE explained the benefits of being a dealer of the Exchange, including access to a wide range of exchange products and services, and the possibility of preferential trading terms.

The entry of foreign investors into the Uzbek market could become an important catalyst for further development of the Uzbek financial sector and increasing its investment attractiveness.

The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, with the parties agreeing on further steps to implement planned joint projects.
